The Good Practice Scheme
The Good Practice Scheme proves to patients that a practice is committed to working to standards set by the profession’s national association. The Good Practice Scheme is an innovation devised by the BDA so that dentists can ensure they are providing patients with the best care available and patients will know exactly what service to expect from their dentist.
Patient Charges
The government fixes the charges for NHS dental treatment. These charges are £16.50, £45.60, or £198, depending on your treatment needs. If you are exempt from the NHS charges then proof of your benefit will be required on arrival of treatment. If you are not exempt from NHS charges, then we accept payment by cash, cheque or card (Visa or Mastercard).
Appointments
If you have to cancel an appointment for any reason, then our practice requires 24 hours notice. This will then enable us to see other patients that may require urgent treatment.
Before Visiting Our Surgery
Before attending for appointments please remember to eat and drink as normal before you attend. Also, we ask that a regular cleaning of your teeth and/or dentures be carried out before visiting the surgery.
Dental Care
As a caring practice we take all necessary precautions to ensure that both patients and staff are protected from cross infection. Our practice offers the latest equipment needed to follow the recommended guidelines in regards to sterilisation of all instruments.
Accessibility
Our practice provides full ground floor disabled facilities; including a disable washroom and spacious surgery for wheelchair access. The practice operates a zero tolerance policy towards violent or abusive behaviour aimed at staff; any such behaviour will result in further treatment being refused. If you fail to attend two appointments, then our policy is that you will be asked to find another practice to provide your care in the future.
Keep us informed
We would be grateful if you could inform us of any changes of personal details, including address or telephone numbers as soon as possible. Also, on regular visits we will present you with a medical history form to complete, which will help us to keep our records up to date on any medical conditions or medications being taken.
